Transport profile

How a server is addressed is a raw statement in its record. This page counts what is written there.

Three questions are kept apart: who names this transport at all, who names only this one, and who states nothing.

The transports 3 distinct statements in the set
Nothing stated 32 entries
The same statement twice in one record 160 entries

The transports

named · Reference size: 21,996 published entries.

named alone

What is named together

Reference size: 6,490 entries with a statement.

Nothing stated

32 entries state nothing at all about their transport.

The same statement twice in one record

160 entries name the same transport more than once, adding up to 240 surplus positions.

For package sources it is 69 entries with 78 surplus positions.

Counted is what the raw record delivers. The registry does not fold the statement together, because folding would erase the observation.

How a server is made available

Where a remote server connects to

5,580 entries name at least one remote address. They cover 5,154 distinct host names; 91 of those are named by more than one entry.

Host names named by more than one entry

Showing 25 of 91 rows. The rest is not listed here.

Two entries on the same host name are two entries on the same host name. Nothing more is stated here, and nothing more is derived from it.

How this page counts

Version 1: A raw statement with several values is split at the sequence comma-space, free text statements at the middle dot. Splitting at every comma would be wrong: it would yield 44 more pieces, because an address can carry a comma itself. Splitting keeps repetitions, because a repeated naming is exactly what this page reports.
