This plan joins reading Excel values with appending Google Sheets rows. It does not migrate a complete workbook with formatting, macros and formulas.

Untested: no complete practical workflow established.

Setup and a small test

  1. Define the source range, destination sheet and column order. Select a few test rows with text, a number, a date and an empty field.

  2. Check how the destination interprets values and dates. Retain each row’s provenance and define a key for detecting retries.

  3. Read back the written values. Check row count and column alignment; look for existing transferred rows before retrying a write whose response was lost.
