Domain mirror

Two raw declarations name a domain: the homepage of an entry and the address of its remote endpoint. This page counts which domain is named by more than one namespace.

Exactly one thing is established: these namespaces name the same domain. It does not follow that the same vendor stands behind them, that they belong together, or that one belongs to the other. Who owns a domain is stated in no source this registry reads.

22,433 of the 24,507 published entries name a homepage, 7,301 distinct domains in all. 108 are named by more than one namespace.

Platforms on which many unrelated parties publish

These domains stand apart because their count would otherwise look like a finding. On a development platform everybody publishes under the same domain; that github.com is named by 7,091 namespaces says nothing about any of them.

13,461 of the 24,507 published entries name at least one remote address, 9,581 distinct domains in all. 64 are named by more than one namespace; 227 by more than one entry.

Some values are placeholders the source published that way ({host}, {baseurl}, {hostname}). They stand unchanged: what the source supplied is not tidied up.

Version of the extraction rule: 1.1. The domain is formed by reading the address as a URL and taking its host name, lowercased and without a leading www. The port belongs to the address, not to the domain. Addresses that cannot be read as a URL drop out of the count and are named here.
